The Charlatans
Sly St Studio, London E1 • September 1991
Artwork Title: The Charlatans - Moody
Around the time of ‘Between 10th & 11th’, after the departure of guitarist Jon Baker and with the arrival of Mark Collins (no relation to keyboardist Rob Collins).
I was going for a very moody, side lit, Rolling Stones kinda vibe here and also wanted to get away from always having the lead singer in the front, hence Rob being the lead here.
Fun Fact: The album title is derived from the address of the New York Marquee Club, the venue of the group's first US concert!
