Artwork Title: The Charlatans - Sept 1990 - Between 10th & 11th

This was used as part of the artwork for Between 10th & 11th (an album title which I never ‘got’ but was too shy to ask about) and was a part of an humungous two day press shoot I did with the band (shout out to Patsy from The Banquet).

We did one day in my studio and one at locations around London including Ally Pally and Vivienne Westwood’s World’s End shop with its backwards clock.

For the studio session I was definitely trying to channel some of the 60s classic press shots. Think The Stones, The Animals, The Kinks, all moody BW side lighting and straight to camera stares.

I think this is a pretty successful image
