Trivia fact: Initially the band were called simply 'Verve' but the long standing US jazz label of the same name objected and threatened heavyweight legal action to change their name.

The band's manager (one Mr John Best) offered to change the band’s name to ‘Verv’ thereby ‘Dropping an E for America!’
