By the time I get to the later frames, there is very little stage left in the photographs at all.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe contact sheet also shows something that is normally invisible once a photograph has been turned into a print: the selection process. You can see the near-identical frames sitting next to one another and, in the middle of the roll, the marked frame 16 that eventually became the photograph with the rather unlikely Kevin Cummins story.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThat is one of the reasons I like keeping the contact sheets.
