And then the beer appeared.

Kurt picked up a pitcher and threw it over his amplifier and speaker stack. Until this point the destruction had been directed at the guitar and the drum kit. Now the equipment responsible for the sound he had been so frustrated with was getting the same treatment.

From the side of the stage I had a clear view and managed to keep shooting.

I'd been economical with the film for most of the evening, knowing that I still had Amherst the following day and Hoboken after that. By now that seemed like a fairly distant concern.

The only thing I was thinking about was getting the next frame.
