I could see the performance from close enough to react to what was happening without having to fight my way through an audience.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eI'd already spent the day photographing the band in the East Village, and this was the first of three shows I was going to photograph over the next few days. I was still conserving film, so I wasn't photographing every movement.
